Day 1

The seniors on Coop's team were given a beautiful framed jersey. I think his is the coolest because it is also a slogan. Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life!

Thys, Coop, Zack, Eli, Cole. Not pictured, Josh Ward.

We had such a fun ride watching this kid play sports from the time my Dad first laid eyes on him and declared, "That kid has massive paws," through nerf basketball in his oversized Tshirt jammies dribbling the length of the house, through SOOOOO many baseball caps and long, hot games pitching, short stopping and even umping, flag football QBing and drawing up notebooks full of plays, golfing to his heart's delight, and finally basketball-- HS ball for the past four years. As we hoped, he hit 6'4" and appears to still be growing according to the last measurement during this season. (He did point out to me that his nice new missionary shoes make him REALLY tall.) He was also easily the youngest player in his grade..

I love that the school has photographers so we get a lot of great shots from the home games. Here's a showcase of Cooper in action.

This one was a warm up dunk. He can also dunk with two hands--learned the week after the season was over, haha.

Cooper earned the award for Best 3 Pt percentage. For awhile he had the school record, pre playoffs.

And now for your viewing enjoyment, a highlight reel that Cooper compiled. Ignore the repetitive whooping done by his mother.
