Macy tells me, about our family this year:
Dad had the ribbon cutting ceremony. He took us to Hawaii and that was awesome. He had his Trump birthday because he turned 45, and next year he has his Biden birthday, turning 46.
Boston got his driver’s license and his first real phone. He works at Crumbl and brings us lots of cookies. He likes to hang out with his friends alot and goes on dates and stuff (one). Sometimes he wears glasses to pretend he’s cool.
Cooper made the basketball team and so he’s always at practice. He likes to argue with everything I say. He thinks there are only 13 days until Christmas but there are 14. He doesn’t know how to count down days like everybody else.
Luke. He is an interesting kid. He likes to quack. It gets very annoying. I tell him to stop. He likes to play games, so that’s a benefit. He hangs out with friends alot. He likes video games, all the games, lots of quacking annoying noises. He gets scared of it when I tickle him, though. So that’s funny.
Rosie is very cute and cuddly. She’s learning to get dressed by herself. She likes me to put her to bed and wants me to always babysit her even if Mom and Dad are home. She likes to go in my room and look at the makeup and put on nail polish. She likes to pretend that she is a cat or a butterfly or a puppy. She’s usually sweet unless you don’t give her what she wants and then she’s sassy.
Leslie has a boyfriend, Cole. He’s really nice. She’s really nice too. She works at Dad’s company. She goes to BYU and has an apartment in Provo but does not have a car but does drive me places when she comes down. She is very funny and Dad still gets mad at her [messy] handwriting.
Mom. She is really nice and has been experimenting with yummy dessert. She only makes dessert once a week but she takes advantage of it. Like we made shave ice. She supplies me with lots of wrapping paper so I can wrap all the presents. She plays games with us.
Cooper says, about our family this year:
Dad’s business is doing good. He’s on TV. He wants to get a new car cause he has a baby truck. He likes BYU still. Still bald. He likes 4 wheeling but not inviting me.
Leslie went to BYU. She has a legendary boyfriend. She is no longer gluten free, that’s good. She went on a rope swing and biffed it and her knee got filled up with rocks–they got removed with surgery. She’s struggling with homework right now–BYU is hard.
Boston. Ah, Boston, Boston. He’s a horrible counter and he’s not good at arguing. He went on a date. He is big and strong and is heavier than ever I think. He’s really tall, like 6 foot. He’s not a true BYU fan because he misses half the games to go be with friends.
Macy always wants to have group parties with her friends and my friends and I don’t like those very much. She’s on a basketball team. She’s finally given up gymnastics around the house–like doing an aerial and kicking Rosie. She’s a good babysitter.
Luke is a snitch. Anything else? No.
Rosie. She’s cute but has gotten a lot sassier. If she doesn’t get what she wants she yells and cries until she gets what she wants. She likes being on Zoom because she gets to see her own face and other people’s faces at the same time.
Mom. She’s a good worker and a good cooker, a good cleaner and always like doing fun stuff with the family and like helping us try new things. She helps keep Rosie alive.
Rosie says to me, about our family this year:
(Parrots what everyone else has already said.) Boston plays video games. He brings cookies home. He goes to work. Cooper is really funny and he does his jobs. Macy cleans her room. And she cleans the bathroom. Leslie, she hurts sometimes and she’s really funny. Luke doesn’t clean up the rest of his room. Luke is really a silly goose. Daddy makes breakfast. He does? That’s true. He loves me.
Rosie likes to sing the jingle, “That’s why I love….Leslie Crunch!”
Luke says to me, about our family this year:
Dad, he’s normally up for a game. He always makes sense what he’s saying and is just a good dad.
Mom. I never not want to snuggle her. She makes me shave ice with a lot of lot of lot of sugar in it.
Leslie always gets on Boston or Cooper when they’re being mean to me. She lives in BYU. Does she technically live there? She always gets along well with most people.
Boston brings home the best cookies in the world. He basically never lets me play the xbox. He lets Cooper sleep in his extra bed instead of me when guests come over. I always have to sleep on the couch.
Cooper always wants to play sports with me instead of watch TV. He’s skinny. He always gets a bunch of junk from the store and gives some to me. What was he doing this year? Like, baseball… (Luke shrugs.)
Macy sometimes lets me and Cooper use her (tumbling) mat. She is a very, very slow cleaner. She let me come to a couple of night games that I sort of was invited to.
Rosie. She likes whatever you give her. You could literally give her a spoon, she would love it. Paper, she would love it. Except if it’s stretchy cheese. It’s the only thing in the world she doesn’t like. Pretty sad. She always whines about me going upstairs and not playing with her. She used to not be happy when I went to school because she wanted to play with me. She is always up for to make a fort. THE END.
Leslie says to me, about our family this year:
Dad’s still doing great with his company. He took the family to Hawaii this year so that was a big deal. Which kids was he coaching? Baseball?
Mom. I put her down as Wonder Woman. She’s got six kids. It counts. She’s got them in five different schools plus one at home.
Boston it’s kinda weirding me out that he’s catching up on some milestones. He calls roads sketchy if he hasn’t driven on them before. He went on his first date. He’s taller than me now, That’s weird.
Cooper made the 9th grade basketball team. Over the summer he was working with his friend, rolling in the dough. Is he my height yet? He did baseball, nothing too crazy.
Macy is becoming a bit of an overachiever. She already had a job, and she’s 12. Cleaning up a reception center with her friend. She’s getting to a fun age where it’s easier to have conversations with her. She started 7th grade and is doing well in all her classes. She is all saved up to go to Paris next year.
Luke is good at awesome questions so we had a lot of entertaining ones in Hawaii. He did baseball. There were two luke’s on his baseball team. He said, Handsome Luke, and Mr. Aple. He was Mr. Apple and pretty proud of it. He gives really good hugs.
Rosie was prob the most excited when I got home, which is extra funny because she didn’t like me much before the mission unless I was trying to take a selfie with her. Sometimes she comes with Mom to check on me, then when leaving she says, “Ok, we have to go check on the other kids!”
Boston says to me, about our family this year:
Dad did a good job teaching me how to drive. His business is doing good. Glad we could go 4 wheeling together.
Mom discovered a lot of new recipes that I like. She’s got a lot of family tree stuff she figured out. She keeps me going to the temple by making appointments for me.
Leslie is lucky to have a guy like Cole. I’m proud of her for making it to BYU. She’s been a really good big sister.
Cooper–I’m proud of him that he made the BB team and that he could get a job and actually make money for himself. He’s been able to hang out with his friends more.
Macy made a Bantam team (basketball). She babysat a lot. She likes Cream Soda over Sprite. She throws farther than Cooper in the shot put.
Luke– He asked more questions than a Nazi interrogator. He played baseball. He participated in flag football. He’s getting really tall, too.
Rosie–She likes to color a lot. She’s the next Van Gogh. She also is getting really big. She only eats the frosting off the cookies I bring her. She really likes fruit snacks.
